I created this random search list for the old West End Games Star Wars and it works well. Even, if it's not highly detailed.
If a player succeeds a search roll in a warehouse or cargo bay, just have them roll on the table below.
(I'm well aware that the Star Wars Role-playing game used West End's 6D system.I made this 1d100 just so players feel something special is coming.It never fails, switching dice is exciting.)
