Dungeons & Dragons and the Influence of Tabletop RPGs

Enjoyable video. I can only hope tabletop rpgs are experiencing a comeback. I thought they were almost dead some years back when the card games became wildly popular.

My main with the video is that it showed the games being played with battle maps. Of course, being a video it has to show interesting images. But, it gives a false impression of role-playing games in my opinion.

The main action of the game should always be in the imagination of the players. Plus the interaction of the players and the Game Master portraying non-player characters is priceless. But, those things are hard to show in a seven minute video.
